WHAT IT IS.
A priory hostel, built 1360s. Later became a luxurious apartment - list of tenants once includes the Lord Mayor of York.

CURRENT STATUS.
Restored and and opened in 1993. Modern structure removed to give back a 15th-century look (the time Lord Mayor lived here).
